Overview

The Welding Technician position involves welding various types of metals under the supervision of the Welding Foreman, focusing on designing, fabricating, and repairing equipment and fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Weld all types of metals.
  • Design, fabricate, and repair equipment and fixtures.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 1-year college or technical school training program or equivalent education and/or experience preferred.
  • Completion of formal 4-year apprenticeship preferred.
  • Continuing education courses required after employment.
  • Vendor, new-product training is a continuing requirement after employment.
  • Four years of experience related to welding tasks or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Welding certification.
  • Certification for welding natural gas lines and pressure vessels.
  • Passing of American Welding Society (AWS) standards tests preferred.
