Overview

The Process Technician position at Parker Hannifin involves assisting with process development and troubleshooting to support the Engineering group in launching new products. This role requires a strong understanding of rubber molding processes and includes training staff on new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Supervisors, Group Leaders, Production, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Assist in engineering trials for prototype, PPAP, APQP, and product launch.
  • Create Standard Work and evaluate for waste reduction opportunities.
  • Provide manufacturing and process troubleshooting support to defined area(s) of the plant.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair semi-automatic or automatic machines used to perform finishing operations.
  • Assist engineering team with maintaining accurate process instructions.
  • Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety/ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.
  • Understand and implement health, safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

  • High School degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • A working knowledge of rubber-to-metal adhesive systems is a plus.
  • Good technical problem solving/analytical skills and mechanical aptitude are required.
  • Operator training experience including mold changing, mold cleaning, mold repair.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, tool designs, tool maintenance, press and machine operation is a plus.
  • Experience with waste-less and flash-less molding processes is a strong plus.
  • Experience in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Must exhibit good communication, project management, interpersonal skills.
