Overview

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Alsip, IL bakery to perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on bakery equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on bakery equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Assist production teams in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and verify equipment readiness after repairs.
  • Support troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and basic PLC-related issues.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, and forklifts safely.
  • Document maintenance activities and findings in the Maintenance Management System.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with GMPs and safety programs.
  • Coordinate work with bakery personnel and escort external contractors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial/manufacturing machinery or 3 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment functions and maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work safely around moving equipment in a production environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
