Overview

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automation systems, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic systems.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, utilizing knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles.
  • Install, configure, and calibrate automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, actuators, and other control devices.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and other maintenance team members to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and other relevant safety measures, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other record-keeping tools.
  • Stay updated with advancements in automation technology, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, and hydraulic systems through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent training in maintenance millwrighting.
  • Strong technical skills in automation systems, electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and other relevant safety measures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
