Overview

Ferguson is seeking a Welder for the 3rd shift to join their team, contributing to the fire sprinkler industry by performing various welding tasks. The company, established in 1953, is a Fortune 500 entity committed to providing quality supplies across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

  • Weld outlets onto steel pipe to serve the fire sprinkler industry
  • Perform specialty welding tasks; spool pieces, flanges, etc.
  • Inspect work for defects, dimensions, alignment, end preparations, and seam splits in pipe
  • Maintain a clean and safe welding station while conforming to standards of quality and performance
  • Report all equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and required repairs

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of welding experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
  • Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity, and professionalism
  • Desire to learn new things
  • Ability to thrive in an inclusive environment
