Overview

They are hiring a Shop Technician Level 1 to evaluate and repair submersible wastewater pumps, with responsibilities including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and conduct mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps.
• Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift and overhead cranes.
• Work with various company-provided hand and power tools.
• Maintain accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work-order management system.
• Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Take care of company property.
• Demonstrate High Impact Culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment.
• Function in a team environment and work independently if needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred.
• Electrically and mechanically inclined.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.
