Overview

Applied Energy Systems is a rapidly growing manufacturing company specializing in gas delivery equipment and installation services. The TIG Welder will support the Production Department by performing manual and semi-automatic orbital welding of high purity gas delivery system components.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, cleaning, and aligning components before welding
  • Weld both large and small diameter stainless steel tubing
  • Read project drawings, specifications, work orders, and procedures
  • Position, align, and set-up components according to specifications
  • Identify faulty components and/or test and inspect welded surfaces for quality
  • Perform standard TIG and tack welding procedures
  • Safely operate orbital welding equipment
  • Complete production paperwork and recordkeeping
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area (5S)
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Effectively interface with team members for component and equipment resources

Requirements

  • Must have good vision and dexterity
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and sit throughout the day for extended periods of time
  • Be able to follow protocols and direction thoroughly and repetitively
  • High School degree preferred
  • Experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • 3+ years of GTAW (TIG) welding of stainless steel
  • Must pass a TIG welding test
