Overview

As a Flex Operator at Johnson Matthey, you will contribute to the company's mission of accelerating the transition to net-zero by processing and fabricating precious metals. This role involves operating production equipment and ensuring quality standards are met in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and fabricating precious metals to defined specifications using approved procedures.
  • Setting up and operating production equipment including wire rod mills, bull blocks and wire drawing machines.
  • Monitoring equipment performance, changing dies and adjusting processes to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspecting products during production, correcting defects and escalating issues when required.
  • Weighing, recording and maintaining accurate material and batch records to ensure full traceability.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area while managing waste and scrap materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Comfort working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
