The Depuy Synthes Product Development Engineer role focuses on developing customized medical devices for orthopedic procedures, supporting surgeons and hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multiple medical devices and all supporting activities.
• Participate in all aspects of the design process, including identifying regulatory needs and developing design specifications.
• Independently own individual instrument design projects, aiming to release engineering for 8+ new instruments.
• Utilize Creo parametric CAD to produce 3D models and drawings to company drafting standards.
• Work with members of the DePuy Synthes sales force, surgeons, and R&D Engineers from other NPD teams.

Requirements

• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is required.
• Demonstrated leadership is preferred.
• Candidates must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Candidates must have the ability to work individually as well as on a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel is required.
• Strong experience with CAD software (Pro-E, Creo, Solidworks, etc.) is highly preferred.
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa.
