Overview

Penn Color is seeking dedicated, hands-on individuals to join their Maintenance team as Maintenance Technicians at their Hatfield, PA facility. The company values its people and offers a stable, long-term career path in a family-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using appropriate tools and diagnostics.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct routine equipment and facility inspections to identify and resolve potential failures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain and monitor building systems including HVAC, compressed air, and plant utilities.
  • Accurately document all maintenance work in logs or CMMS systems.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumable materials.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and inspections.
  • A strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and task-prioritization skills.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, reactive environments.
  • Clear communication skills when coordinating with production teams.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and safe work practices.

Additional Information

  • This role is performed in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, volatile materials, and moving machinery.
  • Standing and walking for most of an 8-hour shift with frequent reaching and handling of materials.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Routine use of hand tools, air-powered tools, and cleaning solvents.
  • Consistent use of PPE due to potentially hazardous conditions.
