Overview

C.E. Precision Assemblies (CEPA) is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Chandler, AZ, responsible for ensuring products meet quality requirements in an AS9100 manufacturing environment. The role involves detailed inspections, documentation, and supporting a culture of precision and compliance in aerospace and defense applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on cable and wire harness assemblies.
  • Verify compliance to customer drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Use precision measurement tools to validate product requirements.
  • Identify and document non-conforming materials and products.
  • Create, review, and maintain AS9100 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation in internal systems and customer portals.
  • Maintain traceability and proper recordkeeping in accordance with AS9100 standards.
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer audits.
  • Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
  • Communicate discrepancies, risks, and corrective actions clearly and promptly.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inspection processes, documentation accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
  • Assist in strengthening quality systems and standard work practices.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of quality control or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience completing AS9100 FAIRs.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under time constraints.
  • Experience in cable or wire harness manufacturing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or J-STD-001 standards (preferred).
  • Experience working in an AS9100-certified environment (preferred).
  • Experience with Net-Inspect or similar customer compliance systems (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality documentation systems (preferred).
