Overview

The Welder position requires skilled individuals proficient in various welding techniques and responsibilities, including specialty welding on multiple materials and performing code-compliant welds. The role also involves advanced rigging duties and operating cranes when qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialty welding on a variety of materials including stainless, superalloy, and carbon steel.
  • Execute code-compliant welds as required, adhering to standards such as ASME B31.3 and ASME VIII.
  • Ensure quality installation and timely completion of work.
  • Conduct advanced rigging duties including critical lift planning and execution.
  • Operate cranes when qualified and trained.

Requirements

  • Must be qualified and capable of passing various welding skill level tests.
  • NCEER welding certification for craft position is required.
  • NCEER rigging certification for craft position is required.
  • Welder coupon test certification(s) for relevant welding procedures.
  • Competent in reading and understanding line or equipment drawings.
  • Two or more years of construction or industry working experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of design techniques, welding equipment, materials, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and understand Weld and Repair procedures.
