Overview

The Plumber position involves assisting Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers on projects while maintaining a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems. The role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects.
  • Braise and solder copper pipe ranging from ½” to 4”.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Work with PVC pipe.
  • Use power tools effectively.
  • Read blueprints and follow SOPs.
  • Perform other assigned work as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an industrial plumber.
  • Strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Appropriate credentials and certifications.
  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Ability to work in small spaces.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
