Responsibilities

  • Work safely around the hazards associated with the construction field.
  • Use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools safely.
  • Read and understand plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, and erection manuals.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Secure components together using knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
  • Bolt, clamp and tack weld parts to secure them for welding.
  • Prepare material for welding by cutting or grinding.
  • Set material in stands, racks, and hoists for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using various welding equipment.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reshaping.
  • Reassemble parts using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.

Requirements

  • Three years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Welder.
  • Ability to identify all welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Arc, etc.) and understand properties of various metals.
  • Completion of required welding certification(s).
  • Must have a locking toolbox and necessary tools for the job.
  • Must be able to complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Additional Information

  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Work in confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • PPE footwear and prescription safety glasses or eye shields are required.

What you'll be running
