Overview

The Welder position at Chief Industries involves performing GMAW welding processes and Carbon Arc Gouging on production materials while ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Perform GMAW welding processes and Carbon Arc Gouging on production materials.
  • Prioritize safety and efficiency while adhering to training guidelines and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and maintain required AWS certifications.
  • Operate assigned equipment with knowledge of capabilities and applicable welding codes.
  • Complete job-related paperwork and manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must maintain required AWS certifications.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and material handling equipment.
