Overview

The Gas – POD 30 Welder position involves using a soda/media blaster to clean parts, inspecting and repairing them for final cleaning and assembly. Attention to detail and strong hand dexterity are essential, along with the use of various tools for repair and finishing.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a soda/media blaster to remove excess dirt or rust.
  • Load parts onto a cart for inspection.
  • Inspect and repair parts to prepare them for final cleaning and assembly.
  • Repair worn bolt holes and weld cracks.
  • Sand and grind parts to a smooth finish using various tools.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong hand dexterity.
  • Experience with tools such as an orbital sander, bench grinder, and welding torch.
