Job Description

Overview

Metalworks is a family-owned business that values a positive, supportive, and safe work environment while also emphasizing the importance of time outside of work. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their welding department, focusing on quality and production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to verify quality production.
  • Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Operating angle grinders to prepare/finish the welded parts.
  • Aligning components using fixtures, calipers, rulers, etc., and clamping pieces.
  • Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  • Setting up and operating Robotic Welding cells.
  • Providing continuous improvement feedback to help increase productivity.

Requirements

  • Experience using MIG and/or TIG equipment.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and production efficiency.
  • AAS in Welding Technology or two years of welding experience.
  • AWS D1.1 & AWS D1.3 certification preferred.
  • Proficient in English.

What you'll be running
