Overview

Chief Industries, Inc. is seeking a Welder to perform a variety of welding processes on production materials according to specifications. The company has a long-standing reputation for manufacturing quality products and providing excellent customer service since 1954.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor to advanced welding processes on galvanized or raw steel per print specifications.
  • Operate flame cutting equipment.
  • Select proper voltage, current, heat, gas, and feed settings for weld operations.
  • Prepare for necessary weld operations through proper machine and jig setups.
  • Perform first piece inspection process using appropriate quality control tools.
  • Maintain proper care of equipment and report any concerns to supervisor.
  • Use hoists, cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment to move materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and mathematical skills generally gained through 1-2 years of vocational training or 2-5 years of related employment experience required.
