Overview

The Maintenance Technicians - Mechanical Millwright OC position involves various roles including Millwright, Maintenance Planner, Lead Maintenance Tech, Maintenance Foreman, and Tooling Technician. The job focuses on performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring safety, teamwork, and ethical practices in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic inspections, tests, and maintenance procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Communicate mechanical issues requiring supervisory expertise.
  • Maintain and improve spare parts inventory and tracking.
  • Develop and maintain equipment print and schematic library.
  • Assess equipment for service and repair time requirements.
  • Track project status and ensure completion.
  • Update and print PMs with management input.
  • Oversee product flow in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with leads and supervisors for procurement.
  • Create and manage partnerships with contractors.
  • Facilitate execution of a five-year repair and shutdown plan.
  • Perform roles of Millwright, Welder, and Electrician as needed.
  • Submit requests for parts for repairs and projects.
  • Control and communicate preventive maintenance work requirements.
  • Complete shift notes accurately and follow up on repairs.
  • Direct the work of other technicians for efficient maintenance.
  • Supervise and manage technicians and leads.
  • Change over mill tooling and ensure production specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in an industrial environment using related tools and equipment.
  • Six months of training and close supervision in the position.
  • For foreman role, six months of experience in a supervisory role.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Acute visual ability to observe product nonconformance.
  • Ability to perform intense manual labor with long hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Ability to read a minimum of Jaeger 2 at a distance of 12 inches.
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and email.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Additional Information

  • Full time – permanent position.
  • Hourly Non-Exempt classification.
  • Ability to work morning, evening, and night shifts including rotating shifts.
