Overview

The company is actively hiring welders for various welding applications under direct supervision. The role involves performing welding tasks on different types of trailers while adhering to quality specifications and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in a professional and safe manner, reporting unsafe work practices.
  • Learn and understand layout, assembly, and welding procedures.
  • Complete and understand reports including scrap, safety, quality, work orders, and inventory.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them for welding.
  • Assemble parts by bolting as needed.
  • Perform constant bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Learn techniques for repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, cutting, and reassembling parts.
  • Use fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters and cutting torches.
  • Clean and quality check all welds and run structural welds.
  • Read and interpret drawings.
  • Assist the team in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving welding problems.
  • Adhere to the company’s Quality Programs and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D Equivalent.
  • Preferred technical education courses from vocational or technical institutes.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, welding specifications, and procedures.
  • Ability to use and read welding measuring devices.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with supervision and team members.
  • Make repair welds using fabrication equipment.
  • Basic math skills for calculating material fabrication.
  • Learn the proper use of fabrication support equipment.
