Overview

Join the Skeeter team as a Metal Fabricator and help build fun by maintaining the production of steel trailers. This position involves constructing and fabricating steel boat trailers while ensuring quality and adherence to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and fabricate steel boat trailers
  • Ensure parts are correct to build product
  • Build jigs and fixtures of all sizes and shapes required in production operation
  • Build all steel trailers per engineering Blue Prints and Drawings
  • Assist R&D with welding and fabricating tasks
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Perform any other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Welding Certification required
  • Be able to operate metal working equipment
  • Experience with Mig Welder
  • Experience with Stick Welder
  • Experience with Cutting Torch
  • Experience with Metal Cutting Saws
  • Experience with Bending and Fabricating Equipment
  • Experience with Plasma Cutter
  • Experience with Electric Hoists
  • Ability to fabricate jigs, trailers and small parts for trailers
  • Ability to read tape measure and level
  • Ability to work flexible hours if needed
  • Ability to lift 75+/- lbs.
  • Ability to work in heat
  • Manual dexterity
