Overview

Discover a career at Depot Connect International (DCI), a global leader in the Tank/ISO Tank Container Services and Tank Trailer Parts industry. The Tank Welder Helper will assist tank welders and mechanics with various tasks related to tank maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Pressure test tanks, drain and dry out tanks
  • Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges
  • Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
  • Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
  • Lubricate and clean parts
  • Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
  • Use hand tools and power tools
  • Buff tanks as needed

Requirements

  • Candidates will possess a mechanical background
  • Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be comfortable with heights on top of tanks
  • Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
