Overview

The Welder position involves fabricating parts according to instructions while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role requires troubleshooting fabrication issues and maintaining tools and workspace, with responsibilities directed by a Team Leader or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate parts as directed by Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication problems and request necessary parts and tools.
  • Perform accurate, quality fabrication in a timely manner.
  • Make adjustments to ensure factory settings and specifications.
  • Use schematics and engineering documentation to fabricate parts.
  • Submit fabricated parts to Quality Control or appropriate team members.
  • Follow instructions on tool and equipment use.
  • Report problems and repairs needed to Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Regularly clean tools, equipment, and workspace throughout the shift.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Report problems to management to avoid confusion.
  • Use company resources to maximize productivity.
  • Learn and follow all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Be flexible in work assignments and cover for other staff as needed.
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
  • Seek assistance when needed and use established communication channels.
  • Examine departmental work processes and recommend changes.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in manufacturing and production preferred.
  • Experience driving a forklift and using measuring tools preferred.
  • ISO and SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Must be tactful, mature, flexible, and able to respond to multiple work pressures.

  • The position may require working beyond normal business hours.
  • The work environment is usually noisy due to powered tools and heavy machinery.
