Overview

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler Tester B for the 2nd Shift, responsible for assembling and testing mechanical assemblies for various aerospace customers. The position requires proficiency in using hand tools and interpreting technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies.
  • Ensure activities are performed correctly using proper tooling and documentation.
  • Organize data and prepare test reports.
  • Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate tasks.
  • Conduct visual inspections and handle defective items according to procedures.
  • Utilize various hand tools and test equipment as needed.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and testing schematics.
  • Prepare materials and perform lapping of surfaces.
  • Identify and assist in process improvements.
  • Perform acceptance tests on various units.
  • Determine the need for Engineering Change Orders.
  • Act as a department representative during customer audits.
  • Use test equipment for in-process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years in assembly within a manufacturing, aerospace, or military environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of testing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical assemblies.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. Government export regulations.
  • Ability to read assembly blueprints and testing schematics.
  • Working knowledge of shop test equipment and testing procedures.
  • Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Attention to detail.

Additional Information

  • Core hours are 1:45pm to 11:45pm.
  • Hourly rate is $25.88 plus $2.00/hr shift differential.
  • No relocation benefit is offered.
  • Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA will be considered.
