Overview

Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry and part of the Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group, is seeking an experienced foreman specializing in commercial and industrial door installations, service, and repair for their Baldwin Park Branch. The position requires a willingness to work overtime and offers training for mechanical quick learners.

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair commercial coiling overhead doors.
  • Perform stick welding and install edge of docks.
  • Weld bumpers and troubleshoot high-speed doors.
  • Install motor operators and gate operators.
  • Run floor loops and read drawings.
  • Use basic measurement tools and ensure quality and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience using hand and power tools.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial coiling overhead door installation and repairs.
  • Stick welding experience required.
  • Electrical experience with installing motor operators and gate operators.
  • Ability to troubleshoot high-speed doors.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to climb extension ladders.
  • Experience with safe operation of scissor lift and forklift.
