Join UCT and be part of the fastest-growing sector in the world! UCT is looking for a talented Welder IV to join us in Chandler, AZ, where you will play a critical role in executing precision welding tasks while ensuring equipment readiness and supporting operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
  • Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Attendance is an essential job function.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in welding.
  • Manual and machine TIG/MIG skills.
  • Understanding of the use of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, tapes, etc.
  • Qualified to read blueprints.
  • Ability to perform welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test.
  • Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculations.
  • Knowledge of welding machines and setup.
  • Ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders.

Additional Information

  • Two shifts available: 1st from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday and 2nd from 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday.
  • Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.
  • Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment.
