Overview

Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business with around 100 production sites in 40 countries and employing 20,000 people. The Maintenance Mechanic role involves repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Performs electrical changes to blown fuses and wire plugs.
  • Repairs electrical wiring and changes hydraulic filters.
  • Does troubleshooting on mechanical devices such as presses and draw benches.
  • Performs all lockout / tag out procedures according to company policy.
  • Examines parts for imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs and replaces defective parts.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Participates and is fully engaged in continuous reliability improvement of all equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure that shows measurements in feet and inches (required).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
  • Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience (preferred).
