Overview

The Assembly Solder Technician III position at RTX involves assembling and repairing electronic units with a focus on precision soldering techniques. RTX is a leading aerospace and defense company that offers innovative solutions and opportunities for growth in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and repair a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
  • Identify correct parts, components, wires, and materials needed for assembly and repair.
  • Solder electronic components using industry-standard techniques and tools.
  • Remove suspect and failed components and install new components accurately.
  • Operate assembly machines and ensure proper functioning.
  • Measure, mix, and apply chemicals and adhesives according to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Read and interpret technical data including component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints.
  • Communicate work status to team members and support staff, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Document clear and concisely and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize computer skills and office software applications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work 1st shift hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am - 2:30 pm.
  • Certification of IPC Class III Solder Exam preferred.
  • Experience with electronic assembly preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred.
