Overview

The Hiller Companies, LLC has an immediate opening for a Fire Sprinkler Fitter. The company is a leading provider of fire protection and safety solutions, dedicated to safeguarding lives and property worldwide, with over 100 years in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Install overhead sprinkler piping, standpipe systems, and specialty fire protection systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
  • Assemble and install various system components including hangers, valves, fittings, and backflow prevention according to design plans.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Measure and cut piping materials to specified lengths and dimensions using cutting tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other construction trades to coordinate installation activities and ensure compatibility with other building systems.
  • Test and inspect newly installed fire sprinkler systems to verify proper operation and compliance with design specifications.
  • Attend scheduled in-house meetings/training and contribute recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and training of fire sprinkler apprentices in good installation procedures.
  • Provide technical consultation and support to company apprentices, technicians, designers, and shop employees.
  • Respond to other duties/responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent and Project Foreman.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines.
