Overview

The Plant Maintenance General Nights position is an entry-level role focused on assisting with general maintenance tasks during the night shift. This role requires minimal prior experience and aims to introduce employees to the industry while assessing their potential for long-term development within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components.
  • Perform structural repairs and replace heavy wear-parts using welding, cutting, and grinding equipment.
  • Adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations, execute Lockout/Tagout protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work area.
  • Observe aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas during operation to identify anomalies.
  • Record and maintain service logs, lubrication reports, and maintenance records for plant equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience in maintenance, preferably with heavy equipment and machines.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • General awareness of tools and equipment used on-site.
  • Willingness to learn mechanical and maintenance fundamentals.
  • Exposure to preventative maintenance processes under supervision.
  • Knowledge of using a wide variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license.
