Overview

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 1st shift to support manufacturing operations in creating premium desserts. This role involves maintaining equipment and ensuring operational efficiency while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and repair electrical and mechanical defects.
  • Participate as a Maintenance Lead for assigned area teams to support Line Centric Teams.
  • Effectively complete assigned Preventative Maintenance Plans as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime.
  • Participate in RCA on equipment and process failures to provide insight to failure and suggest corrective actions.
  • Train operators on maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assist in diagnostics, repair and rebuild machines.
  • Document all Maintenance work activity within CMMS System.
  • Install, align and adjust mechanical power transmission components.
  • Operate in the workplace in a safe and effective manner and adhere to mechanical, fluid power, electrical power and environmental rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Industrial Mechanical experience or two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English; preferred if can read, write and speak Spanish.
  • Must be able to successfully complete HACCP Certification.
  • Must have Forklift License or be able to complete required training within 90 days of hire.
  • Possess mathematical skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously interdepartmentally as well as with co-workers and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of ovens, bakery equipment, and packaging equipment preferred.
  • Completion of AIB Bakery Equipment training course is helpful.

  • Work hours are Monday - Thursday from 5AM - 5PM.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Must be willing to work overtime including weekends if necessary.
