Overview

As a Ground Maintenance Mechanic (GMM) in a stationary role at Delta Air Lines, you will be responsible for the maintenance of stabilized stationary machinery and equipment, ensuring the safety and efficiency of ground support operations. This position requires a minimum of 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on passenger loading bridges and related systems.
  • Inspect and maintain air handler hoses, adapters, air filters, and indicator bulbs.
  • Conduct repairs on gear boxes, bearings, shafts, and belts.
  • Assist with the baggage handling system control rooms and resolve bag jams.
  • Maintain ground power cables and associated clamping/saddles.
  • Repair and build-up small components on specialized equipment.

Requirements

  • Prioritize safety and security of self and others.

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests for required tasks.
