Overview

Key Technology is a global leader in food processing technology, providing innovative solutions since 1948. As a Welder, you will work in a dynamic production environment to fabricate stainless steel equipment used in food processing, utilizing blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate stainless steel equipment used in food processing.
  • Fit and weld assemblies and sub-assemblies using blueprints and engineering drawings.

Requirements

  • High school education, community college weld program, technical weld school, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years’ experience in welding fabrication.
  • Basic GMAW and GTAW abilities.
  • Knowledge of gas torch and plasma equipment, overhead crane operations, and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Experience in MIG, TIG, and TIP/TIG welding.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
