Overview

The Welder will be responsible for setting up, operating, and performing welding work to fabricate metal parts and components according to customer specifications. The role requires proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Employ a diverse range of welding techniques, including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
  • Interpret and comprehend blueprints and formulas to ascertain precise welding requirements.
  • Utilize precision instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
  • Exhibit proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques as per technical drawings.
  • Collaborate in the production process and support machine operators as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized welding environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 5+ years of MIG/TIG welding experience with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
  • Proficient at math and computer skills, including calculating fractions, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Proficient at reading, interpreting, and understanding weld symbols, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Proficient at using quality inspection equipment such as gages, micrometers, and rulers.
  • Ability to use inspection methods including tape measure, calipers, and fillet gages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Excellent troubleshooting or problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to complete work assignments and prioritize urgent matters.
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering concepts and practices.

Additional Information

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or bend.
  • Manually lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Hearing protection is required due to loud noise levels in the plant.

What you'll be running
