Overview

Clyde's Donuts is a family-owned food manufacturer known for high-quality donuts since 1920. The Maintenance Mechanic position involves performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of various equipment under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with production and maintenance personnel.
  • Use computerized maintenance management system to manage maintenance schedules and work orders.
  • Complete daily inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Install new electrical and mechanical equipment as directed.
  • Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot PLC controls and motor controls.
  • Maintain facility utilities and safety equipment.
  • Read schematics and maintain organized documentation.
  • Maintain accurate spare parts inventory and good housekeeping.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in training of others and comply with safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and preventative maintenance software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex work instructions and technical manuals.
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Effective communication skills in questioning, listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and uses time efficiently.

  • Location: 85W Army Trail Road, Glendale Heights (New Facility)
  • Schedule: 5-day work week/ Tuesday - Saturday
  • Shift: 3rd Shift/ 10:00pm to 6:30am
  • Overtime: Voluntary OT is available
