Overview

Siemens Energy is seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician to provide nondestructive testing services at power plant sites across the Americas. The role involves extensive travel and requires a combination of technical skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and support field service jobs at power plants located at domestic and international job sites.
  • Perform field inspections per Siemens requirements.
  • Travel (up to 75% annually) to power plant sites.
  • Support customer power plant outage planning and production control by ensuring timely delivery of tools, personnel, and field inspection activities.
  • Prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping.
  • Support the development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling.
  • Provide on-site and off-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of complex equipment and systems.
  • Communicate technology and inspection findings to global Siemens team members and with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • NDE Training, Experience and Certifications (UT, ET, PT, MT, VT & RT).
  • Experience with borescopes and/or other remote visual (RVI) tools and concepts.
  • High School diploma required and must live within an hour drive of a major airport.
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
  • Must be able to pass extended background check for unescorted access to Nuclear power facilities.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
