Overview

The Lead Workshop Technician will assist and train technicians in the shop, perform repairs, supervise staff, enforce safety regulations, and monitor inventory and supplies in the Houston, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and train technicians with various repairs.
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs of cranes.
  • Ensure that all repairs meet Tadano quality and expectations.
  • Meet with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.
  • Implement strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Implement training curriculum for training of technicians.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as ordering parts, opening work orders, assigning repairs, and keeping management updated on completion dates.
  • Upkeep workshop parts inventory.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical experience in crane diagnosis, maintenance, and repair.
  • Working knowledge of applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including Saturdays as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate electric and LP-powered forklifts.
  • Spanish-English bilingual proficiency preferred.
