The SkillBridge Internship for Field Technicians offers active-duty US Military Service members hands-on experience in creating efficient, safe, and adaptable environments through Smart Buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to diagnose HVAC/Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security electronic control system malfunctions.
  • Maintain, repair, or install new equipment and commission if needed.
  • Consult with internal engineering and management teams for discrepancies in drawings or problems.
  • Complete service work documentation and assist customers with training instructions.
  • Recommend system enhancements to provide a value-added partner relationship.

Requirements

  • Only active military personnel will be considered for this internship.
  • Military approval is required for program acceptance.
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED required.
  • Demonstrated technical experience supporting mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or related systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel locally as needed.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
