Overview

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Avionics Installer to join their team in Dallas, TX, supporting one of the world's leading aerospace companies. This hands-on role involves installing, modifying, testing, and maintaining advanced aircraft avionics systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, modification, and fabrication of aircraft wiring and electrical components using blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Remove and install avionics and electrical components with precision.
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and perform functional testing of avionics systems.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Maintain required logs, records, and documentation.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established production schedules.
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform thorough self-inspections before final inspection.
  • Follow company safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Care for assigned tools and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years of related avionics work experience or an avionics certificate plus one year of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and general software knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
