Overview

ProTech Thermal Services is a leading provider of vacuum furnace equipment and aftermarket services for the heat-treating industry. They are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their team in Norco, CA, who takes pride in quality workmanship and is comfortable working both in the shop and at customer facilities throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes as required.
• Fabricate metal components and assemblies from drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Cut, fit, grind, drill, bend, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.
• Repair and modify industrial furnace components and equipment.
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of vacuum furnace hot zones and related equipment.
• Perform field installations, repairs, maintenance, and equipment modifications at customer facilities.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the United States as needed.
• Safely operate shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and fabrication machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate measurements and ensure fabricated components meet specifications.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.
• Work safely around industrial equipment, high temperatures, heavy components, and various materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work independently as well as with other technicians, fabricators, and management.
• Perform other fabrication and field-service duties as needed.

Requirements

• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and measurements.
• Experience in the heat-treating, furnace, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Experience with TIG welding stainless steel, nickel alloys, or other specialty metals is preferred.
• Experience working with graphite, stainless steel, molybdenum, or high-temperature materials is preferred.
• Experience reading detailed mechanical drawings is preferred.
• Familiarity with vacuum furnaces, hot zones, heating elements, insulation, or furnace components is preferred.
