Overview

Clark-Reliance® is a world-class manufacturing company serving customers in over 120 countries across various industries. The Welder position involves operating and monitoring welding machinery and tools for production purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate welding and other equipment utilized in the qualified weld and fabrication areas.
  • Pass performance tests as required by various ASME and AWS codes.
  • Weld components of products using MIG or TIG processes as specified by blueprints or work orders.
  • Train to fit parts for various product lines if necessary.
  • Understand paperwork procedures and MAPICS.
  • Pass x-ray quality work regularly and consistently.
  • Weld a variety of metals including carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate all parts manufactured in the specific weld/fabrication area.
  • Follow all procedures and specifications to ensure product conformance to quality specifications.
  • Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external parties.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, standards, and rules of the Company.
  • Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
  • Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year welding experience in GTAW and GMAW or equivalent education.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
  • Ability to handle routine projects and tasks under moderate supervision.
  • Ability to read simple blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects and tasks.

Additional Information

  • Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Regularly required to walk or stand, bend or twist, climb, reach with hands or arms.
  • Overtime required at periodic intervals to respond to project deadlines.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold on a regular basis.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle.
