Overview

Fab2 is a company that designs and manufactures the hardware and software needed to make chips, including the fabrication of chip fabs and tools. They are seeking hands-on individuals for the role of Welder-Fabricator (Flex Operator) within their production team, which focuses on building and assembling tools in-house.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual TIG welding on stainless gas-distribution tubing and Al/SS chamber weldments.
  • Ensure helium-leak-tight standards on vacuum-prep welds.
  • Operate Trumpf TruLaser 1030 for nesting, sheet loading, scrap handling, nozzle changes, and beam calibration.
  • Set up and operate Trumpf TruBend 5085 SX press brake with ACB Laser closed-loop angle control.
  • Conduct FINISHLINE 42" two-zone deburr operation.
  • Perform first-article inspection across welded, bent, and laser-cut parts, including pre/post-weld cleaning.

Requirements

  • 3+ years total experience in at least two of the following: TIG welding manual, sheet metal fabrication (laser + brake).
  • Strong TIG welding background with manual experience on aluminum and stainless steel, able to pass AWS D17.1 or equivalent quality bend tests.
  • Ability to read weld symbols, flat patterns, and tube prints fluently.
  • Comfortable operating different machines daily.
