Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a global leader in automated processing, sorting, and packaging technology. This role involves installing, commissioning, upgrading, and servicing advanced machinery at customer sites across the globe, with significant international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, rebuild, upgrade, and retrofit machinery, including motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, pneumatics, and control panels.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and mechanical drawings.
  • Assemble, configure, and modify complete machines and production systems using mechanical, electrical, and electronic tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI, servo, VFD, AC/DC, and control system issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities to maximize machine uptime and reliability.
  • Relocate, upgrade, and retrofit new and existing equipment at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, or similar technical service role.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and automation equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable traveling internationally for extended periods (70-80% travel).
