Overview

Autocam Medical is seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and efficiency of highly automated CNC equipment used in medical device manufacturing. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC production systems to prevent downtime and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on CNC production, quality, and inspection equipment
  • Diagnose root causes and implement permanent corrective actions
  • Apply Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures at all times
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Perform machine repairs involving tooling, alignments, and mechanical components
  • Support 5S, workflow optimization, and equipment placement initiatives
  • Assist with relocating and installing machinery in compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA standards
  • Obtain and operate licensed equipment (lift trucks, cranes, man-lifts, articulating lifts)
  • Fabricate minor machine parts, guards, fixtures, and brackets as needed
  • Operate basic shop equipment (welder, torch, mill, drill press, band saw)
  • Perform basic machine building, rebuilding, and component repair (valves, cylinders, pumps, clutches)
  • Support minor building and facility repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring)
  • Stay current with new technologies impacting productivity, safety, and quality
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and compliance

Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machine principles
  • Ability to differentiate between mechanical, electrical, and setup-related issues
  • Experience working safely around heavy equipment and machinery
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (occasionally more)
  • Willingness to work in physically demanding and sometimes uncomfortable positions
