Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements.
  • Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications.
  • Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications.
  • Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations.
  • Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed.
  • Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of welding experience.
  • Able to read tape measures and blueprints.
  • Ability to properly operate welding equipment.
  • Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions.
  • Skilled in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Willingness to work in different environments, including outdoor and confined spaces.
