Overview

The Small Caps - Combo Welder position involves selecting equipment, planning layouts, and performing various welding techniques on metal components. The role requires significant industrial welding experience and the ability to work in diverse conditions while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding applying knowledge of geometry and physical properties of metal.
  • Layouts, positions, aligns, cuts, assembles, and fits metal components together in various body positions.
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding equipment.
  • Welds metal materials to piping systems equipment using appropriate procedures.
  • Identifies all equipment for the job and process.
  • Identifies all safety risks and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.
  • Must be able to Stick and Tig weld on Pipe.
  • Must successfully pass a weld test.
  • Must have 4+ years of industrial welding experience.
  • Must have all required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all the tools listed on start date.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and other engineering drawings.
  • Must have experience welding on industrial size and grade pipe.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of various metals and correct welding processes.
  • Must have experience welding multiple types of pipe including carbon steel, stainless, and chrome.
  • Must be able to assist pipe fitters in pipe installation and fabrication.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work at heights as required.

What you'll be running
