Overview

The position of Welder - Fabricator involves using MIG welding equipment to assemble fabricated metal products efficiently while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The job is located in Terrell, Texas, with both day and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily functions as directed by work orders and maintain production output.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment according to specifications.
  • Ensure correct raw materials are used for welding.
  • Report production and work utilization accurately.
  • Produce strong, consistent welds and ensure quality of parts.
  • Conduct 100% inspection on the first completed part and check parts during production.
  • Report defective materials or conditions to the Supervisor/Lead.
  • Maintain company tools and equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate machines and tools.
  • Observe and act upon machine malfunction warnings.
  • Exercise quality control by comparing products to blueprints.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Comply with safety standards and report incidents.
  • Participate in lean events as directed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in productivity and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure workflow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must pass Madix weld test; welding certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
  • Formal MIG welding training or hands-on experience in production.
  • Knowledge equivalent to 1 to 2 years of high school.
  • Good math skills including fractions and angles.
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Must be available to work weekends and/or overtime.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Day and night shift availability.
  • Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, closed for lunch from 12pm-1pm.
