Overview

A tank shop is seeking 2 welders for immediate hire who possess some mechanical skills, particularly in diesel engines, air, steering, suspension, and brakes.

Responsibilities

  • Weld aluminum and steel using MIG and TIG techniques.
  • Perform torch cutting and grinding.
  • Work effectively with a team and independently.
  • Lift or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Communicate well in English.

  • Ability to weld aluminum and steel using MIG and TIG.
  • Experience with torch cutting and grinding is a plus.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must own and use own welding tools and some pneumatic tools.
  • Possess a valid Nevada Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be able to work overtime occasionally.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
