<p><b><i><u>POSITION SUMMARY:</u></i></b></p><p>The Lead Welder initially trains A & B welders, ensures proper performance of job duties with a high degree of quality. Inspects the work and corrects any defects. As rate or processes change, the Lead Welder assists the Weld Supervisor with organizing and re-balancing to ensure smooth production flow. The assembly line process requires outfitters to work as a team in close proximity with a diversified group of peers, it is crucial the Lead Welder monitors and responds to any signs of work place conflict.</p><p></p><p><b><i><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</u></i></b></p><ul><li><p>Monitors flow & react to abnormalities.</p></li><li><p>Balances lines & delegates workload based on production levels.</p></li><li><p>Trains operators per standards.</p></li><li><p>Audits to ensure all safety, quality & delivery standards are meet.</p></li><li><p>Ensures employee has proper safety equipment & tools to perform their job.</p></li><li><p>Inspects work & fixes as required.</p></li><li><p>Delegates schedules & monitors.</p></li><li><p>T<span>racks hourly production utilizing established lean procedures.</span></p></li><li><p>ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><u>EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:</u></i></b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum Degree Required: High school or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Experience: Preferred at least 1 year of experience</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY</u></i></b></p><ul><li><p>Basic understanding of welding machine controls, function and ability to adjust per requirements</p></li><li><p>Broad knowledge of each work station and specific critical to quality task</p></li><li><p>Customer Champion</p></li><li><p>High degree of Character & Values</p></li><li><p>Good Work Ethic</p></li><li><p>Analytical / Problem solving skills</p></li><li><p>Good communication</p></li><li><p>Ability to develop & attract talent</p></li><li><p>Leadership skills</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><u>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</u></i></b></p><ul><li><p>N/A</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><u>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</u></i></b></p><ul><li><p>Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.</p></li><li><p>Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to see details at close range.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><u>INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT</u></i></b>:</p><ul><li><p><span>Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.
