Overview

Systems, LLC, an affiliate of Chamberlain Group, is a U.S.-based manufacturer of loading dock equipment. The Associate II, Welder position involves welding and assembling various materials while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Weld and assemble different pieces using hand held welding equipment.
  • Prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.
  • Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Work from different specifications and shop orders.
  • Utilize tools to take and read measurements.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables.
  • Report damages on machines and maintain equipment safety.
  • Report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Monitor/control the robotic welding process.
  • Operate robotic welding equipment to perform welding tasks.
  • Perform visual inspection of weld quality.
  • Program robotic welding systems.
  • Provide work reports/feedback to supervisors or engineering teams.
  • Set up/prepare robotic welding equipment for operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed.

Requirements

  • No minimum education required.
  • 1+ year of robotic welding experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of MIG welding and handheld plasma machines.
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques and material characteristics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for handling.
  • Ability to climb or balance.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to talk or hear.
